Marriage

Congratulations on your engagement! 

Please contact the parish office at least six months before your planned wedding date.  We recommend that the bride or groom contact us first before making any definite plans or signing  any contracts for a reception, etc.  Weddings are scheduled at 2pm on Saturdays, but before any wedding dates can be discussed, an initial interview with the pastor is needed to make certain that both parties are free to marry in the Catholic Church.

Once the decision is made with the pastor to set a wedding date, the couple will be asked to complete a marriage preparation seminar as well as the necessary official forms, ceremony planning, and an application for a civil marriage license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Members of the Catholic Church may enter into marriage with individuals who are not Catholic provided that the Bishop's approval is given.
